Our Journey

Company History

We opened our Salon doors in June 2020. However, Robin has been licensed since August 2008. She attended the Academy of Style through the St. Clair County TEC Program during her Junior and Senior year at Marine City High School. After Graduation she worked with her grandmother, Karon at her salon in downtown Marine City from 2008-2010. There she hones in on her skills all while being mentored by her Grandma. In 2010 she took a job at Great Clips in Lenox Twp. There she moved up from stylist to Assistant Manager and up to Manager of the Salon. She left there in 2012 to try another career path. Ultimately in 2015 she returned to Great Clips after getting engaged to her now husband Alex. She started working at Salon 832 in Marine City in September and quickly realized that being behind the car was where she belonged. In spring on 2019 she decided she wanted to open her own studio at home. She went to Sleek Salon North in Richmond to prepare her clients for the transition to her home studio. With a goal to open in later winter of 2020 but didn’t open until June 2020 due to COVID. Her salon space was created to ensure clients have a calm and enjoyable experience Think a Steel Magnolias type feel. A one chair room that allows clients to have a one on one session with Robin with no worries of other people being around for moments they don’t want to share with everyone around.

The boutique side of our business originally started out as The Cardinal Collection that Robin and her Aunt Amy started in 2018 making various different Home Decor items. Robin started doing the Port Austin Farmers Market in 2019 and that is when this side of the business really took off. Slowly products morphed over time and we honed in to what sold best and that’s when we settled on the Solar Mason Jar Lights and Door Rounds we sell today. Find us at the Port Austin Farmers Market throughout the summer months and various other craft/vendor shows during the year.
